Patient Update: Bergeline from Haiti
In 2009, we operated on a little girl in Haiti, named Bergeline (seen here with Smile Train supporter, Chris Meloni). We received an update on her from Tom Flood, Executive Director of Surgical Volunteers International.
Tom, writes:
She looks great. She followed me all day during screening. When I first saw her she ran to me and jumped into my arms. Followed me around all day during screening. The surgery changed her life.
It’s really amazing to see transformative power such a simple surgery can have on a person.
